「What do you think of ~ ?」の表現

「What do you think of ~ ?」は「〜をどう思いますか？」という意味で、相手に意見を尋ねる表現です。「What do you think of 」の後は名詞、代名詞、動名詞が続きます。また、目的語を取らずに「What do you think?」だけで使うことも多いです。

What do you think of Japan?
日本をどう思いますか？

What do you think of that movie.
あの映画をどう思いますか？

What do you think of this hat?
この帽子をどう思う？

「What do you think of ~ ?」は、「What do you think about ~?」や「How do you like ~?」で言い換えることができます。

What do you think about this hat?
この帽子をどう思う？

How do you like our new manager?
新しいマネージャーをどう思う？

また「How do you find ~?」でも同じような意味になりますが、「どうやって〜を探すの？」という意味にもなりますので前後の文脈で意味を判断する必要が出てきます。この時の「find」は、「〜を探す」ではなく「〜だと感じる」の意味で使われています。
